expert evidence : In proceedings under the [Obscene Publicans] Act, it is made a defense that publication of the article in question is justified as being for the public good on the ground that it is in the interests of science, literature, art, or learning, of of other objects of general concern (ibid., s. 4). Expert evidence may be called to establish or negative this defense. JBS
